Class Requirements FAQClass Requirements FAQ
We get a lot of questions regarding the class requirements. It can be confusing. The questions below should provide some clarity.

Question 1

Tony,

Pastor Hardrick took the production class on last Saturday. I was wondering is there any way you can wave the one time volunteer for him being that he is very experienced in the control booth? We want to use him this Thursday on our live shoot, we have a special guess (Dr. Bob). Let me know if this is workable.

Thanks,
David

Answer 1:

Pastor David,
First, I don’t think there is a volunteer requirement for the field production equipment.
Second, if he took the studio class, then he must volunteer on another producer's shoot. This is both because there are always other producers in need of help, and to encourage more community participation, rather than have folks only working ontheir own shows.

As an aside, we want to do everything we can to make your shows workable, but a core part of our mission is leveling the playing field, treating everyone the same, so when/if we have a policy that is making things hard on members, we will consider changing the policy for everyone, but we will avoid “making exceptions” at almost any cost. We want to treat everyone the same...
That can be frustrating for members like you who are such a valuable part of the organization, but Even our board member who was here last night, and gave us our first $5,000 grant, and is probably responsible for the organization ever starting, gets frustrated at having to play by the same rules as everyone else.
