Make your own TV show! Intro to Studio Production will cover basic use of all studio equipment, including camera operations, lighting theory, color, and audio mixing, as well as control-room equipment, such as the studio switcher, audio mixer, and camera controls. Participants will be required to volunteer on one real-world studio shoot before receiving certification, after which DOM members will be certified to use both studios.*
Registration Fees: All DOM certification classes are provided by Deproduction. Classes are currently being offered at the following prices: Members: $75
per class, paid at least 24 hours in advance. Non-Members: $150 per
class, paid at least 24 hours in advance. Become a DOM member today! There is an extra $25 charge for both members and non-members who register less than 24 hours in advance of the class. The only way to avoid this fee is to register in advance. Scholarships are available based on need.

Cancellation Policy: Students who have paid in advance are entitled to a full refund if they cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the class. They may alternatively choose to transfer their registration fee to a different class, if space is available. Students who cancel less than 24 hours before a class and students who don't show up will not be entitled to a refund, and transfers will only be approved at the discretion of Denver Open Media. This policy also applies to members signing up using free classes included in their organizational membership.
Minimum Enrollment: Minimum enrollment for certification classes is 4 pre-paid students. In the event that minimum enrollment is not met, a class will be canceled and students who have already registered will be contacted at the phone number they provided when registering. They will be entitled to a refund or,if they choose, the registration fee can be transferred to a different open class.
*For non-commercial productions only. Deproduction and DOM rent studios and production equipment for commercial use at standard rates. Only non-commercial, public access, creative-commons projects qualify for the free use of equipment and the use of studios at a discounted rate, after certification is complete. If producers want to own exclusive copyrights to their work, or if they want to produce commercial content, they will pay commercial rates for use of studios and equipment.
