DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Deproduction is a nonprofit charitable organization which exists to put
the power of media and technology in the hands of the people in order
to enable every person to actively engage their community and bring
about the change they wish to see in the world. The organization seeks
to hire a Full-Time Development Associate to work closely with the
Board of Directors and management team to establish and fulfill a
fundraising plan that supports the mission of Deproduction and its
divisions.
Experience Required:
• 2-3 years in successful development experience
• Demonstrated success in various development strategies with an emphasis on individual donor campaigns
• Experience with the "Raising More Money"/Benevon model and organizing special events a plus.
• General familiarity with donor management software

Major Responsibilities:
• With the Board of Directors and Executive Director, initiate and
implement an annual development plan, and monitor its results
• Refine and manage Deproduction's individual donor cultivation
plan including phone calls, letters, tours and creation of cultivation
events using the "Raising More Money"/Benevon model.
• Plan & coordinate special events, working with Board, staff and other volunteers.
• Oversee foundation fundraising efforts, including managing grant
writing and grant reporting, maintaining regular contact with
foundation program officers and working with program staff to create
and/or select opportunities for foundation support.
• Generate regular reports on fundraising activities to the Development Committee and Board of Directors
• Provide staff support to the Executive Director in his/her fundraising activities
• Maintain prospect and donor records. Create reminder system for prospect & donor cultivation
• Perform other fund development-related tasks as requested by the Executive Director
• Expand and manage the Denver Open Media broadcast underwriting program
Compensation:
Salary is $35,000/year with benefits.

BOOKKEEPER / OFFICE MANAGER
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will be responsible
for managing a wide range of office and operations activities. The
scope of this position will include, but not be limited to:
• Maintains general bookkeeping and fiscal functions including, but
not limited to: processing invoices, payments and membership fees,
preparing monthly reports, and compiling year-end summaries to support
audit process.
• Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the organization's budget
• Creates and manages yearly organizational calendar
• Coordinates Human Resources functions such as: employee file
management, payroll processing, contract administration,
benefit-related record-keeping
• Coordinates and conducts intern and new employee orientations to
ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment
provisions
• Assists with general employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, etc.
• Composes and types correspondence and other material from rough draft to copy.
• Organizes and schedules meetings and special events
• Prepares materials for Board Meetings and Trainings
• Manages Facilities related issues including: facilities
maintenance, purchasing of office supplies, furniture and other office
materials
• Conducts financial evaluations of projects and departments to determine financial sustainability
• Performs data entry for various accounting/tracking systems
• Prepares manuals and other materials describing procedures and standards
• Prepares financial, grant, performance and other reports as required
• Performs other administrative duties as requested
• 2-3 years in creating and managing office systems
• 2-3 years in bookkeeping
• Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Experience in nonprofit sector preferred

Compensation:
This is a full-time position with benefits and a salary in the low-to-mid 30's.
