For individuals who do not yet wish to produce content, but who want to participate in our viewer-driven programming schedule, the Community Participant is a great way to begin taking part in the Denver Open Media revolution.

For members who produce and edit content using their own equipment, the Programming Membership is an affordable way to get your projects aired on Denver Open Media. Programming Members are given access to our computer lab in order to encode their projects to our broadcast server, but have no access to Field, Studio, or Editing equipment.

- May reserve DOM computer system to ingest/encode content through the online scheduler

The memberships below include free access to equipment and resources for non-commercial productions only (i.e. programs that they intend to air on our public access station.) In basic terms, this means that no one can be compensated for projects produced with equipment provided through the Denver Open Media membership program, and that the content produced must not have commercial messages of any kind. Complete guidelines are posted in the membership agreement and content ingest agreement. Furthermore, all sponsorship or underwriting of individual shows must be managed by Deproduction/Denver Open Media in accordance with our underwriting guidelines.
If you feel like your project may not meet these requirements, please inquire with our staff. Equipment access for paid, commercial, and/or other uses not permitted in the membership agreement can be accommodated through discounted equipment rental from Deproduction.

The Field Producer Membership is a limited membership package for those who wish to use field equipment, but have no need to use studio or editing equipment. If you have access to your own editing system, or if you are a crew member not involved in the editing process for your project, the Field Producer Membership is an affordable way to gain access to Denver Open Media’s cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.

Become a Field Producer Member
Cost: $175 per year***
The Studio Producer Membership is an affordable way to get unlimited access to our two production studios. Designed for those who are interested only in creating studio productions, this limited membership does not include use of editing and/or field equipment. If you would like to make a studio show, please note that all crew members must have studio memberships and be certified in order to participate.

Cost: $175 per year**
The Editor Membership is an affordable way to get unlimited access to Open Media’s cutting-edge post-production suites. Designed for editors who have no need to access studio or field production equipment, this limited membership does not include use of studio or field production equipment.

- Access to Post-Production/Editing Equipment (with iMovie or Final Cut Pro Certification)

The Unlimited Membership is an affordable way to get unlimited access to all of Denver Open Media’s production/post-production community resources.

Cost: $1,000 per year
Includes up to 4 transferable Unlimited Memberships and up to 4 certification classes (valued at $1,400). Organization is eligible for up to four denveropenmedia e-mail accounts and discounts on certification classes.
A producer who allowed his/her membership to lapse may renew by paying the annual producer fee. If the lapsed time is less than one year producers will not have to retake the certification classes. If the lapsed time is one year or more, producers will be required to repeat the certification process or test out at regular member rates.

Members who have completed studio certification are not currently being charged for studio usage.
