Jessica first connected with the media-makers of DOM during her time as a teaching artist and administrator for the arts-based youth employment program Arts Street. She spends much of her time be-caped at Buntport Theater, where she co-writes, co-produces, and performs in the all-ages comic book serial tRUNks. Jessica has taught theater and collaborative playwriting throughout town, and she is excited to have diverged from her primarily theatrical career to enter the media world as the production manager for Asian Public Media and the education director for DOM. She holds a B.A. in theater and English from Davidson College.
Laura has a long history of non-profit organizational work, spanning from volunteer coordinating, program coordinating, and directing several different organizations in Missouri and Montana. After a degree in experiential education and a decade of service as a teacher and an Americorps organizer, she decided to return for another degree in the film/video world here in beautiful Colorado. She now combines the two at the coolest video house in town: the one for the people, by the people! She is driven to work for organizations that are a part of a solution, and loves being surrounded by an awesome team.
Ann recently relocated to Denver from New York City, where spent 6 years working at Manhattan Neighborhood Network. She headed the production and education department at MNN and now hopes to help make Denver Open Media a thriving public access station. She graduated from Antioch College with a degree in anthropology and communications. It was at Antioch where she discovered the importance of community media and the distribution of locally produced programming --long before You Tube! was around! Videoblogging has become her new passion; she has been invited to conferences to discuss implementing videoblogging curriculum at public access centers and created an access show called VlogTV to introduce the world of public access video blogs and videobloggers to the world of access and of course she has her own vlog too.
Ever since his first computer and subsequent discovery of several local Bulletin Board Systems (BBS), Brian has been passionate about the evolution of communication. His varied background reflects an ongoing effort to situate himself at the intersection of technology, mass media and localized community development. During college he spent significant time studying computer science, graphic design and foreign languages. In 2005 he graduated summa cum laude in international affairs from CU Boulder. Since his arrival at Deproduction in 2004, Brian has taken on numerous contract & volunteer jobs, including leading the organization through incorporation and application for 501(c)(3) tax exemption, working as grants writer and development director, managing the transition of the organization’s accounting system to Quickbooks, and supporting the organization’s IT needs. In the past year Brian has developed a strong interest in social software and is currently focused on integrating open-source technology and its principles into the operations of Deproduction & Denver Open Media. Brian also runs Civic Pixel, a web development firm that works with small profits and small businesses dedicated to positive change.

Ravi spent the first moments of his life drawing. Years later he worked briefly in the commercial animation and film industry in San Francisco but learned quickly that he hated it. He returned to Denver and started making short movies strictly for himself. Shortly after he hooked up with a hip-hop collective from Oakland, California, and has since produced many music videos for various artists in the collective. The most recent, "RUBBER TRAITS" by WHY?, was featured on the RES magazine DVD and screened in the 2006 Los Angeles and Hawaii international film festivals. Ravi now works as a full time visual artist and video producer. Proficient in Final Cut and other editing programs, Ravi contributes to Deproduction as a community educator and occasionally does production work. His drawings and videos can be seen at: www.partsandlaborunion.com
